Man Wanted in Sonic Drive-In Murder in South Carolina Found in Indonesia
SUMMERVILLE, S.C. — April 28, 2026 — A South Carolina man wanted in connection with a deadly shooting at a Sonic Drive-In has been found and returned to the United States after fleeing to Indonesia, according to the Summerville Police Department.
Anthony Prioleau, 20, is charged with murder in the death of 18-year-old Kymani Jayden Antonio Baker, 18, who was fatally shot on January 9 at the Sonic Drive-In on Dorchester Road in Summerville.

Police said Prioleau left South Carolina shortly after the shooting, first traveling to Washington, D.C., where he allegedly obtained a temporary passport. Investigators say he then flew to New York City and boarded an international flight to Jakarta, Indonesia.
Authorities reported that when Indonesian immigration officers approached him, he allegedly tried to run but was later captured and taken into custody.
Summerville detectives later took custody of Prioleau from the U.S. Marshals Service at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on April 24 before returning him to South Carolina.
He is currently being held at the Dorchester County Detention Center and faces charges of murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.
Officials also confirmed that a second person, Roger Daniel Jr., was arrested for allegedly helping Prioleau flee the country. Investigators said messages and financial transfers linked him to the escape plan.
